Chevy Invites Drivers to Try New Things

When Chevy released the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, they wanted to make a statement, not just about the new car, but about the brand as a whole. For the American automaker, this means doing what nobody else has ever done, and doing it with style.
The campaign for the Sonic opened with footage of some of the world's best skydivers shoving the 2012 Sonic out of a plane and free falling with it for over 14,000 feet towards the Arizona desert. Their next stunt was a bit closer to earth, but it did involve attaching the Sonic to a bungee cord and then dropping it from 10-stories up, towards a kiddie pool carefully positioned in a California parking lot.
So, what do you call an ad campaign like this? Well, if you're anything like Chevy, you'll call it "Let's Do This," and you'll invite Chevy drivers to join in the fun. But, you'll have to be bold to take part, and if you are, Chevrolet might hand you the keys to your very own Sonic.
The aptly named "Game of Firsts" asks participants to break out of their shell and try new things. We could all do a little more of that, right? Except, if you want a brand new car, Chevy's going to make you work for it. Tasks include things like baking a cake that looks like you and then eating it, donating blood dressed as a vampire, or working out in the middle of the grocery store.
Competitors rack up points by first completing the task (100 points), sharing the proof on Facebook and Twitter (20 points each), and if people like or re-tweet your badge or Challenge, you get an additional ten points. And for every time somebody views the Challenge content, contestants get one point. If you're lucky enough to become a "Badge Boss" of a specific challenge, you'll get a 100-point bonus.
Chevy's already given away the first of eleven Sonics, but you can still sign up (if you're daring enough)! To sign up and view the rules and regulations, visit http://letsdothis.com/.
But, maybe you're more comfortable taking the more traditional path into a new car. In that case, Bayer Motor Company, located at 218 E. Grand Comanche, TX 76442, invites you to swing by our showroom to see the entire lineup of 2012 Chevrolet models.
